Fall Update – 2014

Thanksgiving Greetings from our family to you and yours,

As we end our Annual Thanksgiving celebration here in New England revolving around families, friends and feasts we at the Hungaria Stamp Exchange send you our greetings. We also want to update you on the Special Issues from Hungary’s Magyar Posta. Most of these issues are truly special and have a pious theme and are of organized stamp collecting significance.

2014 Special Issues

HUNGARIAN SAINTS AND BLESSEDS II

Magyar Posta is presenting the theme of Hungarian Saints and Blesseds through a series of stamps to be issued over several years.The 2014 issue in the philatelic series commemorates three martyrs who lost their lives as victims of the communist dictatorship. The stamps of the miniature sheet depict Blessed Zoltán Lajos Meszlényi, Blessed István Sándor and Blessed Szilár Bodánffy.The unusual feature of the issue is that, apart from the standard version of the miniature sheet, silver and monochrome editions are also being released.
